Intern, Partnerships Team

Remote
Full Time
Entry Level
  • Do you want to learn how partnerships work by actually doing the work, not just watching from the sidelines?
  • Are you looking for more than coffee runs and busywork—a role where your contributions actually matter?

Collegewise is looking for a Partnership Intern to join our team. This is a remote, part-time position (12-15 hours per week) perfect for someone who wants hands-on experience in partnership operations, marketing coordination, and client service and open to candidates in the US and Canada.

Who We Are

Collegewise is a college counseling company that helps high school students confidently navigate their journey to college. We believe the college admissions process has spun out of control, with too much confusion, too much anxiety, and too many students losing agency for what should be their path to higher education. We're out to change all that.

Since 1999, we've helped more than 30,000 "A" students, "C" students, and everyone in between apply and get accepted to schools—sometimes famous, often not—that they're excited to attend. We do it all with just the right mix of advice, encouragement, and occasional cheerleading to ensure that each student's college admissions process goes smoothly and thoughtfully. We also speak in public, write, and constantly look for ways to spread relevant college planning information to anyone who needs it, whether or not they join our program.

What's the Job?

As our Partnership Intern, you'll support our partnership team with the day-to-day operations that keep our B2B collaborations running smoothly. This isn't about shadowing or observing—you'll have real responsibilities from day one.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Onboarding Support: Help prepare materials and assist with setup for new partnerships, ensuring partners have everything they need to get started with us.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records, update schedules, and organize partnership documents. You'll be the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Marketing Support: Assist with scheduling and coordinating online and in-person events or campaigns with partners and internal teams. You'll help bring our partnership initiatives to life.
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly, timely, and professional support to partners and their customers. You'll address inquiries, resolve minor issues, and ensure all interactions reflect our commitment to quality service.
  • Partnership Inbox Management: Monitor and respond to partnership emails, addressing user and client inquiries promptly. You'll be a key communication hub for our partnership ecosystem.
  • Data & Reporting Assistance: Collect data, track attendance, and prepare simple reports for team review. Your work will help the team understand what's working and what needs attention.
  • General Team Support: Help the partnership team with tasks and ad hoc projects as needed. Every day brings something a little different.

You'll work remotely for 12-15 hours per week with the partnership team. This is an hourly position, which means you're not just getting exposure—you're being compensated for meaningful contributions to real work.

Who We're Looking For (You)

  • You can commit to regular work hours and reliably follow through on assigned tasks. When you say you'll do something, you do it. And you don't need a policy manual to tell you that showing up on time (even virtually) and being prepared matters.
  • You enjoy organizing and managing multiple priorities, from scheduling to data tracking. You're the person who gets a little thrill from a well-organized spreadsheet or a perfectly managed inbox.
  • You take initiative to solve problems and ask questions when clarification is needed. You don't wait to be told what to do when something needs attention, but you also know when to ask for guidance.
  • You communicate proactively and professionally with team members, partners, and clients. You win people over easily and earn trust quickly. Whether you're responding to a partner email or coordinating with a colleague, people enjoy and benefit from their interactions with you.
  • You're detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in documentation, emails, and reporting. You catch the small things before they become big problems.
  • You're genuinely curious about how partnerships, marketing campaigns, and operations function behind the scenes. You're not here just to check a box on your resume—you actually want to understand how this work creates value.
  • Most importantly, you believe in the vision of Collegewise. You want to be part of a smarter, saner approach to helping families navigate the college admissions process.

What You'll Gain

This isn't just a line on your resume. Here's what you'll actually learn:

  • Exposure to B2B partnership management processes and how successful collaborations are built and maintained
  • Practical experience in reporting, client management, and data analysis that you can talk about intelligently in future interviews
  • Professional communication and cross-team coordination experience in a remote work environment
  • The satisfaction of knowing your work directly contributes to helping families have a better college admissions experience

The Details

  • Salary: $21/hour USD
  • Hours: 12-15 hours per week
  • Start Date: We'd like our new intern to start as soon as possible, but we can adjust the start date to accommodate the right person.
  • Location: Remote (can be based anywhere in the US or Canada)

We Want to Hear from You

If you're excited about this opportunity but unsure if you're the right fit, we hope you'll take a shot. There is no such thing as a perfect applicant (or a perfect job, for that matter). And we promise to give a fair and thorough read to every applicant who takes the time to submit a thoughtful application to us.

We also understand that the more we embrace diversity of age, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, ethnicity, and perspective, the stronger the company we'll be able to build together. Creating an environment where everyone, from any background, can do their best work is the right thing to do. And we hope you're excited to embrace and contribute to our efforts.

How to Apply

If your interest is piqued, please start by writing us a cover letter that tells your story. What interests you about partnership work? What brought you to this place seeking this role? What excites you about the opportunity to contribute to Collegewise's mission through partnership operations?

We really enjoy working with people who are clear thinkers and equally clear communicators. And you're more interesting than a generic "insert-name-of-company-here" letter. So please be yourself and use your letter to help us get to know the real you.

Then submit your application on our site. When you paste your cover letter into the text box, your formatting will hold up when we see it (but if it doesn't, we'll blame the text box, not you).

Questions?

Feel free to email us at [email protected] (please no phone calls). We promise to respond to you quickly.

Thanks for reading our post. We'd love to hear from you, but if we don't, we hope you find the perfect professional fit someplace else.
